The San Francisco Experience

Most people know that San Franscisco is one of my top 5 US cities to go on vacation or business. Now that I have a friend living there, I guess I'll have a reason to head out to SF more often.

A flew out for a weekend trip to hang out with my friend David and it was such a great vacation. As much as I travel, it was probably one of my better vacations in quite a while. I knew we'd have fun doing tourist stuff and hanging out, but the trip exceeded my expectations and the friendship is closer. I've been so disappointed lately with some relationships and maybe that's been a test from God to make me stronger. While I was there and for days later, the trip had an affect on me and made me more content than I've been in a while.

Here’s my top 10 from what I learned from being in SF recently...

10. Some grocery check-outs don’t accept cash, while some restaurants don’t accept credit.
9. Buy the transit day pass it’s worth it
8. Little Star is the best pizza
7. Just wait for the bus, by the time you start walking it usually comes.
6. Dirt Devil is the best vacuum to buy
5. White gerbils are not always albino
4. The Golden Gate Bridge is 2 miles across each direction
3. When you’re sailing around the bay and they say "you might get wet" believe them
2. Never play 3 card monty on a bus or anyplace else….and if you must, pay-up when you lose.
1. "Riding the bus is an adventure, just like going to Disney World."

We’ll see what I can add on the next trip…
